EA
announces 30 games in development for PS3
Straight
out of Redwood, California, EA announced today that it has more than
thirty games in development for the Playstation 3. When the system
launches next month, EA will be bringing some of the world's most
popular franchises to the system
including
Madden NFL 07, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07 and Need for Speed Carbon. EA
will release eight games by March of next year including Fight Night
Round 3 and Def Jam: Icon, one of the games we reported on yesterday.
Paul Lee, President of EA Studios commented on the launch of the
Playstation 3, ” Each game has been custom designed to leverage the
hardware power of the Playstation 3 and serve as a launch pad for
EA’s next generation of HD gaming. This is only the beginning. In
the months and years to come, developers will take greater advantage
of the Playstation 3’s Cell processor and blu-ray storage capacity
to create games of stunning depth and texture.” Sounds like its
development teams have a lot of work ahead of them. To see the list
of games that are known so far, go to the EA's

its new video games versions of the popular television game show,
Family Feud, are now available. The games, which were licensed by
FremantleMedia, the

New
College Hoops 2K7 features
2K
Sports announced some of the new features that will appear in College
Hoops 2K7 today. There will be an enhanced Coach Mode,
more realistic college game atmosphere and, we couldn't make this up
if we tried, a Chant Creator. “The
unique Chant Creator, the first of its kind in any sports title,
allows the gamer to control the excitement of the crowd by
constructing custom chants to play during key moments of play. Gamers
are given a multitude of options to customize in-game chants,
including drum percussions, letters, words, mascots, states/regions,
and more.“ Some of the more
interesting atmosphere enhancements are the over 200 fight songs that
have been added, as well as more than 50 new default crowd chants and
new cheerleader routines, mascot dances and gyms. The enhanced Coach
Mode allows players to control the game through the eyes of the
coach, moving up and down the sidelines to change the tempo of the
game, call plays and make substitutions. Adding to the authentic
coach experience, College Hoops 2K7 is the only college basketball
title on the market to include the likenesses of hundreds of actual
college coaches – including Roy Williams, Billy Donovan, John
Calipari, Jay Wright and more. College Hoops 2K7 will be out next
month for Xbox, Xbox 360 and Playstation 2 and will be available for
Playstation 3 this winter. For more information, you can check out
