It's been fun folks, but every week has its end and, in our case, Thursday is just that (during the winter at least). We hope you've enjoyed this week's editions of News Pop!. We leave you with today's edition, specifically devoted to upcoming PC hardware. Here's what to look forward to in the coming year, enjoy!
Vigor
Gaming Computer, a developer of custom gaming
rigs and high-end peripherals, will debut its Vigor Force Recon QX4
high performance gaming system,
based
on AMD's Quad FX4 dual socket CPU at the upcoming CES 2007.
The Vigor Force Recon QX4 will be Vigor Gaming’s
flagship system for “megatasking” enthusiasts, which allows users
to run multiple, demanding applications and multi-threaded games. It
will be shown with AMD at CES 2007, Booth:Central Plaza CP23, South 3
30368. The system is powered by a pair of dual core Athlon 64 FX-74
processors and uses AMD's new Quad FX platform with Dual Socket
Direct Connect (DSDC). Skipping past all the technical jargon though,
simply put, the system will be one sweet rig. It will be able to host
up to four PCI Express graphics cards, up to eight displays, twelve
SATA drives and four Gigabit Ethernet connections (why a person needs
more than two is beyond us). All in all, that means that the system
will require a lot of juice. The base price of the Force Recon QX4
will run at $2,899 USD and comes with a three-year limited parts and
labour warranty. To find out exactly what that gets you, or to see

Not
too hard to devote something to one specific topic when there's only
one thing to talk about, is it? Hope you all have a good weekend. For
those of you celebrating Chanukah, we hope it's been a good one, and
for those of you about to celebrate Christmas, may it be merry. No
matter what you celebrate though, have a happy holiday.
