Fanatec
introduces wireless axis controller
Fanatec,
maker of high-end input devices for consoles and PC, have introduced
a new way to play racing games on Playstation 2. The new Speedster
Controller, also compatible with the original Playstation, acts as a
fully functional Playstation 2 controller, but also has the added
ability to control the turning axis when playing racing/driving
games. Using the controller's Twist'n'Turn axis technology, the sides
of the controller can be pivoted to the left or right, allowing for
precision driving control. The controller sensitivity can be adjusted
and it also has a pivot lock, for games which don't use the
Twist'n'Turn axis, such as first person shooters or platformers. The
Speedster Controller comes with a Play'n'Charge kit, with three
rechargeable 2000 mAh batteries and a five metre USB charging cable,
which allows players to charge the controller while still playing. It
will be available in North America on November 1st for
$59.99 USD.
