Moondance Games releases Volume 2 of indie games pack

ig_vol_2.jpg
IG: Independent Games Volume 2, published by Moondance Games, is set to be released. The pack features over twenty independently developed titles and seven different genres to play, including racing, arcade and RPG. The games in the pack were picked from a selection of titles from CMP Game Group's Independent Games Festival, held in conjunction with the annual Game Developer's Conference. While developers such as Ethereal Darkness Interactive or Hanako Games, whose games are featured in Volume 2, might not be as well known as larger, more popular developers, they also don't follow the mold that many large developers constantly reuse for their games. IG: Independent Games Volume 2 is currently available online at Amazon.com for $19.95 USD and is set to release in retail stores soon.

Rockstar and Team Bondi announce new crime thriller

Rockstar took some time today to announce it will be publishing a new crime thriller being developed by Team Bondi, based in Sydney, Australia, called L.A. Noire. Set in the late 1940s, L.A. Noire is an interactive detective story meant to blend action, detection gameplay elements with complex storytelling in order to draw players into an open-ended challenge to solve a series of murders. The story takes place in Los Angeles in a post-war backdrop of corruption, drugs and jazz. Since Rockstar is involved we can be sure there will be plenty of drugs, guns and sex to go around, and a meticulously written, character driven storyline that will fully immerse players in the game. L.A. Noire is currently being developed for Playstation 3, and for those interested, the trailer will be released on Oct. 5th and can be seen at http://www.rockstargames.com/lanoire.
