Darkmind continues his plans to destroy all villains on Earth while the bad guys who surrounded en masse earlier to receive protection from the Rayguns. Johnny who was reprimanded by his bosses earlier and had to leave his girlfriend with his parents is back in action, trying to help his fellow Rayguns. The super evolved genius Oog arrives on the scene with a secret weapon capable of stopping Darkmind, but it may cause more trouble than worth it.
This is another action-packed issue where everything goes for bad to worse in Johnny’s life. Some of the dialogues are a bit confusing but overall, this is a very funny comic book that brilliantly mixes drama with humour. Another goo thing with this comic book is that it is a safe and great series for kids that doesn’t talk down to them. Somewhere hidden around the script, is a mature story that shows that super heroes can be fun again, while remaining modern and provocative.
Some of the scenes are crowded as the villains are all over the place trying to escape from the Rayguns. The inking continues to be strong which is important for a black and white comic book. The modern retro-look is good too and shows as much wonder as a 1960s comic book. The storytelling of course is
spotless.
