Johnny Bullet – A Cool Drag Racing Comic Strip

Johnny Bullet Web Comic Strip Explores 1970s Drag Racing.

Toronto, Canada (June 15, 2015); Animation studio Toon Doctor Inc., is proud to announce the first drag racing storyline of the “Johnny Bullet” comic published at ComicBookBin. ComicBookBin is a comic news and review site that publishes original webcomics.

Johnny Bullet appeals to car racing fans. Set in 1974, Johnny Bullet is a brash, daring, and smart hero who drives muscle cars and foils crimes. Inspired by Frank Frazetta’s “Johnny Comet” and actor Steve McQueen, the comic explores the world of 1970s professional and outbound drag racing.

Toon Doctor’s founder and Johnny Bullet creator, Hervé St-Louis says, “ComicBookBin has been covering comics since 2002. For years, readers wanted more. Six-months ago, ComicBookBin launched three new webcomics, including Johnny Bullet.”

In the first storyline, Johnny Bullet discovers that a sabotaged car on a film set caused the death of his mechanic. But before he can investigate the murder he gets embroiled in a conspiracy and drag races in a small Tennessee county.

St-Louis says, “There has been many car crashes and gun shots but little drag racing. Now that I’ve established the strips’ basic premise, Johnny Bullet can drag race the way every fan of the comic wants!”

ComicBookBin publishes Johnny Bullet every Sunday as a free black and white webcomic. Johnny Bullet resembles a retro 1970s strip. St-Louis writes and draws every episode in English and French.
