100 years after the Big Wet, Earth has been left a broken, infertile world of rock and sand. The town of Providens is like many others on the post-Big Wet planet-small, mostly illiterate, and struggling for survival. When the town welcomes a stranger named Michael into its midst, will the quiet man lead them to a brave new world or shatter what little order still exists?
Other then being interested in post-apocalyptic stories, I also picked up Wasteland because it sounded like it had a very similar setting to one of my favorite PC Games, Fallout. There's no way I can give you an Unbiased opinion about Wasteland, because my inner dork is to strong to let me say anything bad about it, suffice to say, the setting is so appealing to me that it would take the most horrendous art and story to bring it down, none of which is the case here.
The first thing you'll notice after you turn the cover is that the entire book is in black & white. This never bothered me as I also read Manga every once in a while (which is entirely b & w) but what's great, is that after the first few page's, I stopped noticing, and it began to flow perfectly, just like any other good comic. For anyone interested in the setting, which should certainly include Sci-if fans, or for anybody who just want's to read something different, pick it up, it's great.
