Transformers


   The heroic Autobots led by leaders such as Optimus Prime battle the evil Decepticons headed by leaders such as Megatron. Having taken their battle outside of planet Cybertron, the war between these two races of transforming conscious robots spans the universe, including planet Earth.   

Hailing from planet Cybertron, the Transformers are transforming action figures and vehicles introduced in 1984 by Hasbro who adapted several existing Japanese toylines from toy makers such as Takara. Reinvigorating the new line with a fresh storyline pitting the heroic Autobots versus the evil Decepticons, the Transformers have become one of the most popular media franchise and toy line in the world.

    The trend with the Transformers Prime has been to move away from building completely functional robots hidden by massive plates and shells that encapsulate the robots when they are transformed in their alt/vehicular mode
