What more can Beta Ray Bill suffer! He’s seen the end of two worlds, both of which he called home. Is Bill the last of the Korbinites! What new twist of fate will he have to endure? Time to say goodbye to the old and make way for the new!

It’s hard to know what to say about this issue really. Was it a horribly written comic, no, but did it fit…..no. The big problem with this story is the way the last issue (#5) ended. What we get here, straight off the bat, is something completely different. It’s like a brand new story and that makes it all confusing (and the bad guy’s dialogue jus feels bad). Don’t get me wrong, we do get a conclusion later on, for issue #5. But you do have to wonder if the end game of the story has really set Beta Ray Bill apart form Thor. Or, if it has now, just made Beta Ray even more of a Thor paradox!?!

Its funny, the opening pages, reminded me of Romita Jr’s early Thor work on the Jurgens run. Some of the pages do seem a little rushed or disjointed though. The first shot of Beta Ray Bill is nice, big & bold. After that, some of the fight panels get a little confusing. But the resolution to issue #5 is nice, with good colour affects. The last page is a nice image to end on too. The thing is, the good pages this issue, still aren’t as good as Di Vito’s work from previous issues.
