STORMBREAKER: THE SAGA OF BETA RAY BILL #1 (5)

Beta Ray Bill jumps out of the pages of the now classic THOR series and finds himself the sole survivor of all that was Asgard. Will Beta Ray Bill escape the end of one world only to face his own end?

After the fantastic Ragnorak story, this was a must to pick up and I was definitely not disappointment. The story jumps straight from the pages of the last Thor story, but is completely accessible with the way it’s written. There is a feel of vastness to this tale, epic proportions to tell a galaxy spanning story. We get to see a whole story unfold, which concerns the Sheo’re and a threat that could bring carnage that swept through Asgard to there own world. Can Beta Ray Bill stop the annihilation of his peoples from Ashta and who is this Fallen God!?!

Di Vito art here is solid. This is a space adventure and that feel runs throughout the book. We have strange beings, ships and explosions and all of this is conveyed in a fantastical fashion. The first real, full shot of the mystery God is real nice, so is the last page shot of Bill. Di Vito also does a good job of showing emotion on the Sheo’re’s faces, mainly through the eyes.
