Harmonix and MTV Games announced today that next week's Rock Band downloadable content update will introduce indie rock group Kings of Leon and punk rock legends Rancid to the music/rhythm game's ever-growing music library. A new three song Rise Against track pack and a single song from Lush will also be made available for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 versions. Additionally, the Wii Rock Band Music Store will get new tracks from No Doubt, Judas Priest, The Dead Weather and other bands, while the PSP version, Rock Band Unplugged, will be getting tracks from The Grateful Dead and Thin Lizzy.
Xbox 360 and Playstation 3
The Rock Band Music Store will be adding three song track packs from Kings of Leon, Rancid and Rise Against, on July 21st for Xbox 360 and July 23rd for Playstation 3. The Kings of Leon track pack will include Crawl and Sex on Fire, from their 2008 album, Only by the Night, and Molly's Chambers, from their 2003 debut album, Youth and Young Manhood. The Rancid track pack will include Ruby Soho and Time Bomb, from their 1994 album, ...And Out Come The Wolves, and a new track from their latest studio album, Let the Dominoes Fall, called Last One to Die. The new Rise Against track pack will include Re-Education (Through Labor) and Savior, from their latest studio album, Appeal to Reason, and Prayer of the Refugee, from their 2006 album, The Sufferer and the Witness. Finally, Lush's Sweetness & Light will also be added.
All of the tracks will be available for download individually, for $1.99/160 Microsoft Points each, while the three track packs will be available for $5.49/440 Microsoft Points. All of the tracks are original master recordings.
Wii
The Wii Rock Band Music Store will be getting a bunch of new tracks on the 21st, bringing the total number of tracks available for download for the Wii version to over 400. The tracks, all available individually are:

The Grateful Dead's Casey Jones and Thin Lizzy's The Boys Are Back In Town (Live) will be available for download to PSP on July 23rd, at a cost of $1.99 each.
