Red Sonja #13

Red Sonja #13 is Part 2 of the new "Return of Kulan Gath" story Arc. In Issue #13 we learn more about Sonja's past as well as begin unraveling the mystery of this new evil and what it want's with Sonja.

Issue #13 has a great 3 page intro with art by Stephen Sadowski that reveals some of Sonja's past, while it's only 3 pages long, it packs in a tremendous amount of information that is well delivered and never feel's forced because of it's short length. The rest of this issue (Art by Mel Rubi) deal's with the birth of an evil god and the quest of Red Sonja and Company to reach him.

The art in Red Sonja is alway's amazing, as usual, their are multiple cover's to choose from, this time 3, from Frank Cho, Mel Rubi & Billy Tan. The one shown above is from Frank Cho, and is a full wrap around, their all great, but this one I find strikingly beautiful. If your looking for a place to jump on and start reading Red Sonja, start with issue #12, then this.
