Ozymandias
reminds me of an old Rick Veitch series
The Brat Pack where he featured action figures
of super heroes in the cover of on issue. He really feels more like an action
figure than any of the other Watchmen toys. It’s hard to explain what I mean by
this so bear with me. Like the other Watchmen toys, Ozymandias is likened after
the movie character appearing in
The Watchmen.
The Watchmen was a comic book
published in the1986-7 by DC Comics and has been adapted for the film, upon
which the action figure is based on.
In the comic
books, Ozymandias always appeared a bit more plastic and perfect than other
characters. He was the perfect man. It seems that the movie cast captured this
so well, that the action figure, based on the likeness of a real man with
plastic qualities, captured the action figure qualities of the character. I
know hard to explain.
But look at
this action figure. It is perfectly proportioned and features a ripped body
including nipples in his suit. Moreover Ozymandias has boying and symmetric look
that makes him feel like an action figure’s action figure.
It’s hard to explain, but
let’s just say that this is one of the best action figures I’ve bought in a
while, considering how many I buy and the price this sucker cost me. You’ll
enjoy it, if you’re a connoisseur of action figures. I have no complaints about
him, He stands well on his own or with his action figure stand. He has enough
articulations and looks good next to other Watchmen action figures.
