Major League Gaming Canada and Insight Sports announced today that
Canada's top gamers will have the chance to compete for glory and
awesome cash prizes, including a portion of a purse of over $70,000
U.S. during next month's MLB Pro Circuit Toronto, presented by Ford.
This stop on the Circuit will be a featured event of this year's Fan
Expo, running August 22nd through 24th at
the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
An
official stop of the six-city 2008 MLG Pro Circuit, MLG Pro Circuit
Toronto, presented by Ford, will feature the top professional and
amateur video gamers from Canada and the United States. The event
will feature three main tournaments –
Halo
3
4-on-4,
Gears of War
4-on-4
and
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six
Vegas 2
4-on-4. The biggest prize from the purse will be going to the
championship team in the
Halo 3
tournament,
which will receive $20,000 U.S. The top eight teams from that
tournament will receive prize money, while only the top four teams
from the other two tournaments will be awarded prize money. The
champion team from those two tournaments will each receive $4,000
U.S.

tournament at 7 p.m. Eastern Time tonight.
