MAN IS VOX: Paingels continues the journey through minds and media begun in MIV: Barracudae.

Things are gone. Despite best efforts, mnemonics, multi-referential heuristics and plain stubbornness, things are gone. I have no idea what’s been accomplished. I have no sense of the strategy set in motion. The Beacon’s lesser lights are still with us.

It was easy to pity poor confused Samdy: she was lost, insulated from the normal world by the memories she couldn’t have. Mr. Way, the Husband and the Shotgun Bride tried to reach her; and now they’ve fallen in. Pity the saviors.
