Astonishing X-Men Team of Whedon and Cassaday Win Eisners
 
The 2006 Eisner Awards was a big night for the_ ASTONISHING X-MEN__ and creative team Joss Whedon and John Cassaday.__  The title took home the 2006 Eisner Award for Best Continuing Series while John Cassaday won the award for Best Penciller/Inker for his work on ASTONISHING X-MEN_.
 
This marks the third consecutive year Cassaday has won the Best Penciller/Inker award cementing his place as one of, if not_ the_, best in the business.
 
Marvel congratulates the entire team behind_ ASTONISHING X-MEN_ including Whedon, Cassaday, Laura Martin, Chris Eliopoulos, Mike Marts, and the rest of the crew that make Astonishing X-Men a must-read book for comic book fans.
 
Catch the Eisner Award winning team in action in_ ASTONISHING X-MEN #16_ as “Torn” reaches its boiling point.  The entire X-Men team has been ripped apart and destroyed by the Hellfire Club, save for one member.  Hellfire had their shot, now it's Kitty Pryde’s turn.
