Plasticman #15

This is a strange issue, focusing on Plastic Man's adopted daughter Edwina and her life at high school. The Goth girl becomes the object of attentions of a depressed weirdo who promptly gets super-powers and starts plotting revenge on the cool kids who ostracized him. There is a lot of ironic, witty dialogue and more weird imagery-- like Woozy licking Plastic Man's tongue-- that may be hilarious for adults but which may go over the heads of children. Strangely, the comic is obviously being marketed to kids with advertisements for Nickleodeon and Neopets inside. This remains a very funny comic with great art which pokes fun at the conventions of comic book stories and high-school movies but a lot of the jokes may miss their mark. Is this a very smart book for kids or a very strange book for adults. Someone at DC needs to think very hard about this.
