WASTELAND #1 is NOT sold out!
 
Everybody here at W.H.O.O.P.s! (the World Headquarters of Oni Press) would like to thank everyone who has ordered, purchased, and supported this title. Between the comics press and the bittorrent preview we felt pretty good about this book.  When the numbers came in we felt even better! But while we were pleased, we were nowhere near satisfied!
  
“We knew how good a book this was and we knew that word of mouth was going to push this book even higher so we overprinted this title significantly and overshipped a ton copies to Diamond,” explains Joe Nozemack, Oni’s Publisher.  “I guess you could say we printed the hell out of this book and still have plenty in storage at the printer and more are on their way to Diamond right now!”
  
Antony Johnston, the series writer, further elaborates, “Let me also reiterate our commitment to this title, for the benefit of anyone who might be wondering: WASTELAND is a true *ongoing* series.  Not a miniseries, not a 'cancelled at #5' series, not a 'ten months between issues' series. We're all on board for the long haul, here. This is a long story we're telling (If I were a less modest man, I might even go so far as to call it
"epic") and it will take us *at least* three years to get to the end. Given my druthers, frankly, it'll take even longer than that.”
