The battle for primate supremacy continues! The hit series Monkey in a Wagon vs. Lemur on a Big Wheel returns this April with an all-new 32 page special from publisher Silent Devil. Co-creators Ken Lillie-Paetz and Chris Moreno will be joined by an all-star line-up of guest writers and artists, including Dan Wickline, Mark Dos Santos, Tone Rodriguez, and Paul Benjamin.
"The response to the first issue was so amazing, that Ken and I knew we wanted to do a larger issue for the next installment," explained artist Chris Moreno. "People need to be educated about the threat posed by the conflict between these two sworn enemies of the animal kingdom. In that respect, we, along with the guest creators on board for this issue, are really doing a great public service. It's a plus that Christian Beranek and the fine folks at Silent Devil share that vision."
"When I heard the Monkey vs. Lemur crew were looking for a new publisher I made sure our name made it to the top of the list," said Christian Beranek, Editor-in-Chief of Silent Devil. "We have some experience in promoting anthropomorphic tales, as evident with the success of Silent Forest. I can't wait for fans to see what Lillie-Paetz and Moreno are cooking up. If anything can be gleaned from past Monkey vs. Lemur exploits, it's going to be explosive!"
Writer Ken Lillie-Paetz added: "Having Monkey vs. Lemur at Silent Devil is a dream come true. It started with me walking down this really long hallway and realizing I was naked. Then this large doorway appeared and when I went through it I found myself in some back parking lot. Interestingly enough, the parking lot had only two occupied spaces, one containing a red wagon and the other a green big wheel. A valet appeared out of nowhere, rushing towards me, and saying apologetically 'Oh, Mr. Lillie-Paetz your car will be here shortly. You can wait in the bar if you like.' So I go into the bar and I see Lemur sitting at a table with a cute waitress feeding him cheerios and Monkey is in the corner playing darts against someone that really resembles Charlton Heston. The bartender quickly brings me over a vodka martini and a mango wedge. All is as it should be, and I wake up smiling. So once again let me say that Silent Devil offering a cozy roof over the heads of our favourite two critters that are hell-bent-on-destruction is truly a dream come true."
Plans have been made for a series of one-shots that will chronicle the mayhem that can only ensue when primates duke it out. Each edition of Monkey vs. Lemur will be in full color and contain several stories that are sure to entertain even the most jaded mind. So hop on over to www.silentdevil.com and get involved in the madness today!
