Misfit Comics is a new studio aimed to support the up and coming talents of the comic book industry. Created by Shannon Chenoweth, Tessana Nemenski, Alysha and Colin McKinney, the studio will be making its debut at Wizard World Chicago in August of this year. The mission of the studio is to help independent creators publish their books and provide a support group/network all over the country. Unlike most independent studios however, Misfit Comics is an exclusive studio with a core group that invites other creators who are willing to work hard not only for themselves but for the entire group.
The first books published by The Misfit Comics group will be The Line by Shannon Chenoweth and Eric Gravel, and The Distance by Tessana Nemenski and newcomer Kayla Tepps. Also forthcoming is Stories for Misfit Children #1, a mixed medium anthology spear-headed by Alysha and Colin McKinney. These will be available for purchase at Wizard World Chicago. Previews of these works, as well as future publications, are available on the studio's website, www.misfitcomics.biz
