Runners: Bad Goods #1, the premiere issue of the highly-acclaimed sci-fi adventure series by Sean Wang will be available for FREE on May 7, 2005 for Free Comic Book Day. The special edition will be a completely remastered version with all new lettering and enhanced artwork and will include a special preview section for issues #2-5.
In Runners: Bad Goods #1, life isn’t easy for intergalactic smuggler Roka Nostaco and his alien crew. Anxiously awaiting a cargo exchange in pirate space, they discover that their intended transfer ship has been attacked and boarded by raiders. In order to save the goods, the crew will have to board the ship themselves and confront the ruthless marauders in a head-on fight. But there's more to this particular job than meets the eye. And a surprise waiting for them onboard…
With the five-issue first story arc recently completed, rave reviews continue to pour in for the series. Comic Buyer’s Guide gave the series four (out of four) stars, saying, “This is what Star Wars books should be like…This top-notch space-opera comic book is ‘must’ reading for fans of the genre.” And Newsarama says, “Runners is one of the most entertaining comic books on shelves today.”
“The book has been received extremely well,” says Wang, “but some people have had trouble finding it, so I decided to offer the remastered first issue for Free Comic Book Day. That way, anyone who hasn’t had the chance to read it yet would have the perfect opportunity to catch the series from the very beginning…for free!”
If you missed it the first time around, now you can catch up with Runners on Free Comic Book Day on May 7, 2005! Runners: Bad Goods #1 Remastered will be available from Serve Man Press, 32 pages, full color cover with black-and-white interiors.
