Online trailer available for epic "Transmedia" graphic novel
Image Comics (www.imagecomics.com) and writer/creator Keith Arem of PCB Productions (www.pcbproductions.com) are preparing the finishing touches on ASCEND, scheduled to hit bookshelves on December 8 of this year. The "Transmedia" title was previewed at the 2004 Comic Con in San Diego last summer, and has garnered a lot of attention inside and outside of the comics industry. ASCEND is the first Graphic Novel from writer/creator Keith Arem and co-writer Scott Cuthbertson, and takes the reader into a post-apocalyptic Heaven, where the battle over "harvested" human souls is waged between Angels.
"Ascend originally started as a vision for a motion picture," says writer/creator Keith Arem. "Teaming with artist Christopher Shy gave us the opportunity to create something more than just storyboards for the film; the characters came alive under his brush and we all knew we had something special on our hands. After a year in development, we're excited to finally bring the finished work to the bookshelves for the fans."
Image Comics will release the book in comic book shops on December 8th, and nationwide in early 2005.
The heralded trailer from the novel and hi-res color images can be found online at www.preparetoascend.com.
"We were blown away by the artwork in this one," says Image Comics Publisher Erik Larsen. "Every panel is cover-worthy, and with Keith's great storyline the property has really opened a new world to fans of this genre and beyond. We expect this novel to capture the attention of the entertainment industry as a whole and look forward to its success."
