So what's new in this version? Well, there's of course the carousel view of the news articles in the newsreader in landscape mode, bringing all the features found in the webOS app up to par with iOS.
It's not the same type of carousel by the way. We had to built this one from scratch for webOS. I'm not sure I've ever seen a webOS app with a carousel. If there are let me know.
Then there is another cool feature that I really hope that webOS users will like that uses the core of what makes webOS such a special mobile platform. It's going to be really useful, but at the same time, super cool too. I can't wait to see what are people's response to that new feature.
So two new features? And no bug fixes? So why didn't we name this version a 2.0? I though of it, but then again ComicBookBin 1.5 for iOS also had new features and no bug fixes but we didn't skip. The new features in ComicBookBin 1.5 enhance what already exists mainly. Another thing which may not make sense to many users is that, ComicBookBin for webOS was supposed to have been released at the same time as the version for Android. I don't want to separate them too much as development started at about the same time with just a few days apart. Completing the app was another matter with webOS clearly being the easiest platform to develop for and taking a lead although it was started a few days after ComicBookBin for Android.
Of course our iPhone version will always be the granddaddy of them all having been available since March 2010 and having had more releases. In all we released 1.0, 1.5 and 2.0 for iOS.
