Now, Millar has been talking about his own comic books for a while. I've read his Marvel stuff but not Authority. If this is anything like it though, it must have been great. The whole story kept you turning the page. It was so enthralling. From Wesley and his non confrontational approach to life, to his freaky Dad. The narration at the beginning did a great job warming up readers and the transition from one story to the other was a nice progression and it left me definitely wanting the next issue!

This is the first time I've seen any of J. G. Jones work. It was strange because I liked it and thought it was a perfect reflection of the story. I say this because there was times when it looked a little stiff. There was more great stuff though, like at the end with gun firing effect or the funeral. And I liked that Fox wasn't over proportioned. She doesn't look like her but definitely had a feel of Stony (Jada Pinkett) from Set It Off about her.

Rating: B+/10
