Rated “T” for “Teen”

Rokuro Enmado did not want to be an exorcist, but then, he met a mysterious girl named Benio Adashino.  This 14-year-old was serious about being an exorcist, and she wanted to fight the monstrous creatures called Kegare.  Because their destinies are intertwined, Rokuro and Benio are called the “Twin Star Exorcists.”  They are fated to marry... and to conceive the “Prophesied Child.”

As Twin Star Exorcists, Vol. 10 (Chapters 34 to 37) opens, Rokuro finally arrives on Tsuchimikado Island, the epicenter of the battle against the Kegare.  However, he arrives alone without Benio, who has lost her spiritual powers.  Although many on the island are excited about seeing one of the “Twin Star Exorcists,” some in the island's ruling twelve families are not.  Now, it is time for Rokuro's first trip to Magano – via Tsuchimikado Island, which is an entirely different thing.

The result is that Rokuro may have to change his plans.  This is especially true when he learns the origin of Magano.

THE LOWDOWN:  As I wrote in a previous review, there are times when the Twin Star Exorcists manga seems to be in a constant state of flux.  The narrative introduces new characters and new subplots at a steady rate.

Twin Star Exorcists Graphic Novel Volume 10 finally takes readers to Tsuchimikado Island, and there is a lot of new stuff to absorb.  The history of the exorcists and the origin of Magano make this volume worth the cover price.  I'll say it again:  Twin Star Exorcists continues to be a manga worth reading, and I recommend it to you, dear readers.

I READS YOU RECOMMENDS:  Fans of action-fantasy, shonen manga will want to try the “Shonen Jump” manga, Twin Star Exorcists.
