As previously announced, there will be more tracks unveiled at a later date, keeping the hype going as the game's release date draws closer and closer. For those of you who aren't familiar with The Beatles: Rock Band and how it's going to be different from the previous Rock Band games or track packs, it will be a full-featured new game following the story of The Beatles' career, from their early touring days in 1963 Liverpool, England, all the way to their last performance on the Apple Corps rooftops. As in previous Rock Band titles, you'll be able to pick up the guitar, bass or sit down at the drums and even sing. This time round though, you'll be able to sing with up to three singers, allowing for up to six players or for three players to each pick up a microphone, with three-part harmonies. The Beatles: Rock Band is also the first The Beatles video game ever, so that's a pretty big deal.

The Beatles: Rock Band will be releasing worldwide (North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand) on September 9th (9/9/9), the same day as the release of the complete remastered box set of all of The Beatles studio albums (apparently releasing in both mono and stereo formats), for Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Wii. It will be compatible with all previously released Rock Band instrument controllers, as well as most Guitar Hero and “other authorized” third-party music/rhythm video game peripherals and microphones. The game is available for pre-order at some retailers in North America and Europe, and fans who pre-order the game at participating retailers will get a special access code to join the official The Beatles: Rock Band Pre-Order Club, giving them access to the latest news and behind-the-scenes looks into the game.
