This is the third part of a tale showing the first meeting between Superman and Captain Marvel. Basically, Superman takes on Eclipso while Captain Marvel battles Sabbac. There is suppose to be some link between these two threats but we don't really see it. Still, both baddies are defeated in an entertaining manner and the subplots and cliffhanger at the end are both well-written. The banter between these two heroes is still a bit forced as the creators take pains to depict them as equals while emphasizing their differences-- particularly how Cap is still in awe of Superman. The art is highly original and eye-catching but it drags in the all-important action scenes. Too often, the characters in conflict look posed and stiff. The readers can't feel the power of their punches.
