"We're happy to have International Enterprise spread the zombie plague around the globe," comments Scott Licina and Ken Wolak, publishers of Midnight Show and creators of G.R.A.V.E. GRRRLS: DESTROYERS OF THE DEAD and PROJECT: BORN AGAIN. "Support for the Grrrls' first series has been phenomenal in the States, so we're really excited to see the world-wide reaction to our little horror show."
The critically acclaimed G.R.A.V.E. GRRRLS: DESTROYERS OF THE DEAD mini-series has been featured in Vampirella, Fangoria and Rue Morgue as well as various other magazines and online media outlets. In the first three-issue story arc, the dead are coming back to life with an insatiable hunger for human flesh, and its up to three "enhanced" female government operatives to save humanity from the clutches of the zombie plague and put the dead back to bed. The PROJECT: BORN AGAIN one-shot looks at the zombie plague from a different perspective- that of everyday, normal people. Similar in tone to THE WALKING DEAD, this 32 pages of story companion one-shot goes a step further with full color, incredibly gory mind-bending art in the style of Michael Turner.
Special covers have been provided for DESTROYERS OF THE DEAD by such industry top-dogs as ALEX ROSS, JUSTINIANO and JOSEPH MICHAEL LINSNER.
"Its easy to see the excitement and care put into these books by their creators," observes Tim Hegarty, International Rights Manager. "You can tell by just reading a page this is truly what [Scott and Ken] wanted to do, and their final product is as entertaining to read as it is impressive to see."
Both titles are written by Scott Licina, with full color artwork by Ken Wolak (with Ollie Nome handling the art chores on Project: Born Again, again colored by Wolak). Licina is best known as a composer for projects including the Earth X comic soundtrack for ALEX ROSS and Marvel, Purgatori: The Vampire's Myth score for CHAOS! Comics and Night of the Living Dead. The MIDNIGHT SHOW 'Super-Horror' line is Scott's first foray into the world of comic developing and scripting, while Wolak has been coloring comics for 15 years on titles such as Wanted, The Ultimates, Noble Causes, and the Phantom. G.R.A.V.E. GRRRLS marks his incredibly talented debut as a penciller, alongside inking and coloring the series himself.
"There are some things in comics that are universally translatable, things that interest readers in territories around the world," Hegarty adds. "And flesh-eating zombies and the action contained in Midnight Show's titles are certainly among them."
Both G.R.A.V.E. GRRRLS: DESTROYERS OF THE DEAD #1-3 and the PROJECT: BORN AGAIN one-shot are currently available for international publication in all territories around the world.
