This issue has fewer random comments from Joe Casey making the reading pace better. Once can’t really read these bloggings at the bottom the comic book without the context of the page above. In hindsight, The Intimates really was the first comic book to function as a blog. I’m not even sure if Joe Casey consciously designed the comic book this way. Of course, after this experiment, one can say that blogs are best left to the Internet.
D’anda adds grittiness to the clean and flashy artwork usually provided by Iwahashi. With less blogging and more action, the artists prove that they can do action scenes and not just talking heads. The colours are rich and electric like. At the very least, The Intimates will always be remembered for being a good looking comic book series.
