As we've heard many, many times from the powers that be at Marvel Comics, ReEvolution and Marvel NOW! are not reboots in the vein of DC Comics' The New 52. I have my doubts about this initiative, but am more and more starting to feel some admiration towards the decision on Marvel Comics' behalf to NOT reboot their universe while creating the same type of excitement (and scorn) that DC Comics did a year ago. Instead they are opting to tweak it and retool it in a way that makes it appear like it's a "New 52" kind of "relaunch," but instead is simply an update to their long standing (albeit pretty broken in spots) and ever evolving continuity.
