This was the first Spider-man issue in months that I could read and enjoy, now that a new artist was assigned for this issue. It’s safe to read Spider-man again. The story is good and deals quite well with the repercussions of the latest storyline while building up new subplots for the future. It really feels like a good jumping on issue for new readers. All the mess with the Spider-man Island storyline doesn’t even have to be understood. It’s a good issue, although Peter Parker can’t seem to get away from himself and his constant problems.
I really like Caselli’s work this issue. It’s everything Humberto Ramos is not. It’s well constructed with good anatomy. Backgrounds are not rushed and are rich. Characters don’t look exaggerated and the action flows naturally. A very good read.
