While this issue was funny, it was also too packed. The Joker’s appearance changed the dynamics of the story and suddenly, instead of investigating the ghosts, the kids were standing on the sides while the Joker did his routine with Harley Quinn. In the end she still resolved the case so that‘s not so bad. But Scooby Do, Shaggy, Velma, Daphne, and Fred had very little to do.
I like the mix of cartoon styles used in this comic. Harley Quinn and the Joker looked their best with the 1990s Batman Adventure look while Batman and Robin sported the classic Hanna-Barbera look. Some of the background characters even looked like they came from an Archie comic.
