Raven is fighting the white burst of light that absorbs young people with emotional pain. But she cannot get in. Meanwhile, her fight is broadcast to the world and her family finally discovers that their Rachel is a super hero, a Teen Titan. Can Raven’s family pray for her soul to defeat the white monstrosity?

This was a very good issue which explored Raven’s inner turmoil as she cannot help others who are absorbed into the white thing. But this issue also explores how her aunt, uncle, and cousins feel about her and how much they are willing to help her. Instead of blaming her and casting her aside, as god Christians, they prayed for her and wish her to have the courage to defeat the white thing. These Christians are not so bad after all. I like that Marv Wolfman is moving away from the stereotyped Christians to shown that in their adversity, they may hang on to their faith but it does not get in the way of them being good people with good intentions. Of course, Raven almost release Triggon from her body.

I liked Diogenes Neves’ work here. Blond’s colouring helped a lot to with the negative space created by the white thing and the blue hue used throughout the issue. The only thing missing were Kirby crackle balls!
