Michel Labrie, one of the founders of the venerable Festival of Francophone Comics of Quebec City (Le Festival de la bade dessinée francophone de Québec) has died at the age of 61. Labrie had been the president of the FBDFQ for several years and was instrumental in the merger of the Festival's event with the Quebec City Book Fair (Salon du livre de Québec).
