Jazwares, Inc. is stepping up their game with the latest series of Mortal Kombat figures based on the hit arcade franchise. This company first started off with a quick delve in the Street Fighter video game based action figures. Now Jazwares is attempting to show that they are serious and want to be well received in the action figure world by making very good renditions of everyone's favorite arcade heroes and villains and bringing them to 6-inch life. With the release of the Shaolin Monks, Jazwares Inc, has jumped light years ahead of their earlier product. As of now, I found two main toy lines from this local company from Florida. Mortal Kombat and a line of figures called "Stormbreakers". I know nothing about the characters in Stormbreakers, but the new MK figures are cool. While the Kung Lao and Liu Kang firues look good, they lack the facial tightness of the latest editions of Sub-Zero and Scorpion. And since it was the villain that really caught my eye, I bought Scorpion. This version of Scorpion is far better than the one figure released in the first series.
