I don’t care whether comics are about super heroes or not. From day one at ComicBookBin and every writer can vouch for that, I have always said that all comics are equal. I hate this stupid class system about what comics are and I hate how many people have wanted to push ComicBookBin into the small press or the mainstream box over the years. ComicBookBin reviews comics. That’s about it. Last March and April, I did a whole series of articles on Thai comics. These are neither mainstream nor small press. They are just comics. It’s all that matters. Rant over.
Well, Henry focused on that Seattle school of comics, the personal slice of life ones. He thought we didn’t have enough coverage of that type of comics. I indulged him and he responded! Starting in September 2006, Henry reviewed several comic book created by cartoonists handling both the writing and the art. Henry was smart about his coverage and offered a very thoughtful critical voice. In 2009, Henry stopped posting at ComicBookBin and I think we’ve lost a very personal voice since.
Who's Who @ComicBookBin is a feature celebrating the 10th anniversary of ComicBookBin where publisher Hervé St-Louis features writers past and present that have contributed to ComicBookBin over the years.
