Gotham City Garage is under siege. The forces of Lex Luthor are hitting it constantly, sending re-programmed civilians in a bid to assess the garage’s strengths and weaknesses. Why? Because Luthor’s prized enforcer Batman is held captive inside (It’s a Palpatine/Vader relationship), and Luthor needs him to keep a lid on the Garden (Gotham City).

Those inside know it’s only a matter of time before Luthor has enough intel to make an all-out assault. But no sooner do they form a strategy of their own than a new threat emerges – one with abilities they are ill-prepared to handle.

In other reviews, I decried the use of benday dot patterns as an illustrative technique. I don’t actively dislike them. It’s just that any tool has a time and a place to be used, and here it is used effectively. It lends shading and adds texture, with diminishing the art as a whole.

As the gang in the garage seeks to add to their ranks, I am hopeful we will be able to see other variants of long-time DC characters. A few have been mentioned, and others alluded to vaguely. But no doubt there will be a few surprises along the way. I look forward to that.
