Google is reportedly developing an Android-powered game console, according to an article posted to the Wall Street Journal yesterday morning. While there is little information in the article to support this claim, the report comes in the wake of Ouya's official console launch this week. Ouya is the first Android-powered gaming console to hit the shelves, and will shortly be followed by the GameStick later this summer and the GamePop game console subscription service in the winter. It was only two weeks ago that PlayStation and Microsoft demonstrated their PS4 and XBox One consoles at E3, respectively. Will Google be joining the console wars? Or is this another rumour about the web giant for whom the question "is there anything we can't do?" is becoming a more and more apt description.
