While Barry and Wally are running through Hypertime to try and stop Zoom (who is adorned in the Pre-Crisis Flash costume and calling himself the New Flash in this issue), Barry tells Wally to “embrace the past and the legacy.” And that is exactly what this book does to conclude the Flash War in an exciting and extremely satisfying way.
If you have been following Flash War thus far, you could probably see the betrayal of Zoom coming. If there was any flaw to this event, it was Wally believing that Zoom might actually be telling the truth.
Overall though the book is excellently paced. There is a lot of dialogue in this issue, but it never seems to slow the book down (there is a speed pun here somewhere, but I'll let that be). The art is also crisp and clean, as any good Flash book should be.
As a whole, Flash War was a captivating event making the Flash the must read title it should be. And the reveal at the end of* SPOILER *
