Written before Katy's untimely break up with perennial "Shagger of the Year" and bad Beatles' imitator (see the London Games Closing Ceremony), but admittedly pretty funny, Russell Brand, FAME Katy Perry doesn't even touch on the subject. Judging from Katy's star studded trajectory and resilience to get the most out of life, it will most likely be a footnote if there ever is a FAME: Katy Perry #2. The recounting of the Sesame Street "incident" was something I was only vaguely aware of as well, and the retelling of it here was humorous and fun.

Unfortunately, as is the case with many of Bluewater Productions' FAME titles, the artwork doesn't do its subject the justice she deserves. Eduardo Bazen's artwork is uninspiring. He does draw a pretty good facial likeness of Katy though, and captures her well endowed figure...uh...well. If Bluewater Productions can ever attract some more solid artists to draw their FAME series, they really might become something more than just novelty collectibles for the fans of the books' subjects.
Overall, I learned a good bit about Katy's career here and gained some much deserved respect for her. A decent read that would be much more worth the read with some stronger artwork.
