All the forces of Wakanda and their super hero allies converge to Letvaria for a final showdown against Doctor Doom to stop him from using all of the vibranium in the world. But Doctor Doom may have an ace card in his pocket to defeat all the heroes. Will he do so?

This issue was a not as good as all the others in this series. A conflict of enormous proportion was solved within a few pages without giving the heroes the smart victory they deserved after all the sacrifices and lost in previous issues. What this story does is make Wakanda a regular place like all other nations of the planet. It may open some new storytelling possibilities, but these were not explored at all in this resolution. Doctor Doom still proved he was the smartest man on Earth, smarter than Reed Richards and T’Challa. He outmanoeuvred them at every turn even in his defeat. T’Challa’s solution was akin to using a nuclear bomb to settle a border skirmish between two pesky small nations. That’s harldy using your brain. Although the argument made that Wakandans had become too dependent on vibranium was noted, one would think that such an advanced state would have better to export than precious rocks.

The artwork was good of course with a team that’s quite used to working with these characters. It seemed less dark than previous issues. It’s not an impressive issue either which means that this comic book will not have that much resonance or influence in a few years. That’s a bummer because there was so much great potential when it started.
