Typhoid Mary is back and wants to work with Daredevil in the Shadowland. Will he let her? Elsewhere, Elektra and Master Izo attempt to escape the Hand and figure out what’s happening to Matt Murdock.

This issue was boring with some fights involving the Hand and a lot of ninja star dodging for Master Izo and Elektra. This series is but a container for the equally shallow Shadowland storyline and mini-series. It used to be that reading Daredevil was one of the most challenging things to do as a comic book reader. There were always twists and hardcore developments with the character. No issue was ever a throwaway like this one. If you skip this issue and read the next, you will not have missed anything. It doesn’t matter. That’s a shame. By the way, did I mention how Master Izo pulls a Gandalf on a bridge while fighting more of the pop ninja from the Hand?

De la Torre is a great artist here and unfortunately, he is not given good material to work with. He manages to make the story visually interesting and rich which is the best thing about this comic book. Combined with Hollingsworth’s colours, they do make this comic book a visually rich experience, even if the story is nowhere to be found.
