Meanwhile, said guru appears to be lecturing to a roomful of dead bodies. So who’s crazy now?
And this chapter is entitled “Rest in Peace, Michael Pembrook.” Who? Cuz Pembrook never makes an appearance, so who he may be remains a mystery known only to Way and Rivera.
The fact that the story is incomplete should not deter DC from pulling the plug on this turkey. Other books have been cancelled for less reason, and it would save paper, ink and other resources for more deserving titles – such as Scooby Doo Team-Up.
To its credit, the artwork is suitably trippy and psycho-funke-delic. Lots of color, and pretty trails and patterns, like Timothy Leary vomited all over the page. I don’t mean that in a bad way; like I said, it suits the subject matter.
