Can Avengers Beat Titanic or Avatar?

Only a mere few weeks after Titanic re-establlished itself as one of the highest grossing film's of all-time, it seems that Marvel's The Avengers is possibly en route to challenge it's record.
Deadline. com reports that conservative estimates have the film's worldwide gross closing in at $585M by Sunday, May 6th.
