In the story, the Legion travels back to Gotham City c. 1966, on the trail of their 30th century nemesis, Universo. They seek the help of Robin the Boy Wonder, and are prepared to enlist him into their ranks.
Batman and his sidekick are on the trail of Egghead, who manages to stumble upon the Legion Time Bubble and journey to the future. Batman suggest some of the team remain in Gotham and pursue Universo, while he joins the others, journeying to the 30th century in pursuit of Egghead.
It’s a great story, full of the ‘60s camp the Batman series was known for. Fans of the Curt Swan era of the Legion may recognize a few panel swipes, but that’s okay. I’m not especially fond of Allred’s work, but here, it suits the material.
I just wish DC had used this era Legion with the original Star Trek crossover that was published a few years back.
