After going undercover searching for the mysterious Blackbird, a villain who amplifies metahumans, Black Canary goes missing. The birds of prey joined by Green Arrow and Night wing are on the hunt for BC, and Blackbird. The Birds of Prey find them in the clocktower, which by the way is cool as I love no matter which medium or iteration the Birds take the clocktower is part of them. Of course fisticuffs ensue.

This is a fun comic. It has action, and quips but most importantly it has heart. The thematical themes of the Birds of Prey are highlighted in this issue sure it hits some tropes including the obligatory hero vs. Hero throwdown, yet the writing does not seem clichéd or stale.

And the art if bright and sharp. A semi-unique style that nicely blends an anime light style with traditional comic art that seems to really go with the title.

Rating: 7.5/10
