The 2013 Toronto FanExpo – Of Course Bigger than Ever

Highlights of FanExpo Canada 2013 include the new Fan Expo Sports convention where guests include Bobby Orr, Roberto Alomar and Joe Montana. The original K.I.I.T cars from the Knight Rider television series featuring David Hasselhoff (who also attends the show as a guest) will be displayed. A new Steampunk mini-show will be held on the venues. Fans of the Japanese Lolita Mania movement can visit several panels devoted to the subgenre and take pictures with some of the styled fashion items. Stan Lee, the co-creator of many Marvel Comics characters will be on hand. Other guests include Karl Urban and Zachary Quinto (Star Trek), Nathan Fillion (Green Lantern, Serenity), Jason Priestley, Luke Perry (Beverly Hills 90210), Carrie Fisher, Ian McDiamond (Star Wars) and more.
Because this is a Canadian show, other Canadian flavoured highlights include the display of a new upcoming stamp of DC Comics’ Superman, the first super hero created in Canada (and the world!). Various Canadian specialty television channels such as Teletoon and Space are showing previews of upcoming new series. Comic book publishers such as Avata, Valiant, Zenescope and Dark Horse Comics are also featured as well as a filled roster of comic book artist such as Cary Nord in the Artist Alley.
Collectors will find enough T-shirts, action figures, specialty collectibles and comics to fill their needs. FanExpo also has dedicated shows for horror, science fiction, animé, and games. The best reason to attend FanExpo is of course to see all the magnificent costumes created by attendees. Day passes and others with family options are available.
