Ford Major League Gaming Canada and Insight Sports announced today that Canada's top gamers will have the chance to compete for glory and awesome cash prizes, including a portion of a purse of over $70,000 U.S. during next month's MLB Pro Circuit Toronto, presented by Ford. This stop on the Circuit will be a featured event of this year's Fan Expo, running August 22nd through 24th at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
An official stop of the six-city 2008 MLG Pro Circuit, MLG Pro Circuit Toronto, presented by Ford, will feature the top professional and amateur video gamers from Canada and the United States. The event will feature three main tournaments – Halo 3 4-on-4, Gears of War 4-on-4 and Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2 4-on-4. The biggest prize from the purse will be going to the championship team in the Halo 3 tournament, which will receive $20,000 U.S. The top eight teams from that tournament will receive prize money, while only the top four teams from the other two tournaments will be awarded prize money. The champion team from those two tournaments will each receive $4,000 U.S.
