There’s a new hero on the block, but who could it…….yeah, OK, we know, but has Peter worked it out yet. And what exactly is this new cat’s story?

Reggie has really come into his own on this book. It’s completely different to the other Spidey titles, but the essence of Spider-man runs through it. This issue, we get some great guest (cats that don’t always show up) appearances, that really work for the story. From the beginning of the issue, to the end, you’re kept smiling. The story is so much fun, but doesn’t detract the reader from what is going on. There are some real good moments with Peter interacting with Ethan. And we find out some of Ethan’s history.

Tan’s art is a strange sorta beast this issue. His female characters all seem rather too cutesy, with the same facial shapes & features. His ability to capture movement however, is good and he really seems to give Ethan the perfect character personification. Another really on point touch of this issue was the addition of Mark Buckingham’s pencils and D’Israeli’s colours for the flashback and Ethan history sequences. It really set the tone and gave the reader a sense of past.
