The Playstation 3 version will be available as part of this week's Playstation Store update tomorrow, Thursday, October 30 th , and the Xbox 360 version will be available for download via the Xbox Live Marketplace this Friday, October 31 st .
The demo for Mirror's Edge features the game's prologue, a tutorial and a segment of the single player story mode. Also, players who pre-order the game through participating retailers will get early access to the Time Trial mode, which lets you try your hand at finding the fastest routes through the city. You can upload your best times to the game's online leaderboards for other players to download and compete against. Players who download their friends' runs will have a ghost to race against and challenge for the top spot on the leaderboards.
This demo is a must for action and first person shooter enthusiasts to download. If you're into fast paced action, you will quickly find yourself obsessed with this fresh take on first person action movement, control and combat. For players who have pre-ordered the game at participating retailers, the Time Trials will have you coming back again and again. You won't just try to beat your best run in the same way. You'll try to find new routes that get you moving farther, faster and smoother than before. And sometimes, even though you think that you've found the best route, your friends ghost may soon be out pacing you and taking routes you hadn't even thought of.
Mirror's Edge is scheduled to ship to retailers worldwide on November 11 th for Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC and is rated T for Teen.
